Ration Card is amongst one of the most important documents for every person in India. Ration card details provide an important proof of Identity and Residence of citizens of the country, it also used as a proof of applying for making a Domicile certificate, Birth Certificate, Voter ID card etc.

Earlier you would have to stand in line for hours and spend days waiting for your application for Ration card. But now, one can apply for a Ration card online and also people will get their new ration cards within 30 days of their application.

Here is how to apply for a new Ration card online:

  1. Visit the official website rationcardagent.co.in and make your registration, while making registration applicant should fill in all his or her personal and contact details. After registration find out the application form.
  2. Next step would be to fill in the form completely with the required information.
  3. After filling the form applicant is required to take the print out of the application form and visit the nearest ration office and submit the form along with all the documents which are mentioned below.
  4. Applicant is advised to take a print out of the acknowledgment slip to track the application status online of the ration card.

Documents requiredto be attached with the form:

  1. Passport size photographs of the head of the family.
  2. Applicants address proof (Voter Id card /water bill / electricity bill / telephone bill / passport)
  3. Age proof of family head.
  4. Aadhar Card / enrolment acknowledgment slip.
  5. Complete family details.
  6. Income proof.

Eligibility:

  • The applicant’s family should not hold ration card in any other state.
  • All the family members should be citizens of India.
  • The applicant and his or her family must be cooking and living separately.
  • The applicant and their family members must be close relatives.
  • The applicant and his or her family members should be an ordinary resident of the state in which he/she has applied.
